Hey everyone , since a lot of you BBMOD users have been running into issues with converting models with BBMOD CLI (because of old Assimp version), we've decided to make a new release, 3.22.6, with updated Assimp and a lot of bug fixes, brought over from the 3.99.0-alpha1 version.

Hello everyone

We apologize for the ongoing website outage.

Our hosting provider suspended our hosting without any prior notice, claiming our site was serving malicious content. After thoroughly checking everything on our end, we found nothing suspicious — and the files they flagged don't even exist on our site. We also noticed other users on the same provider are facing similar issues, so the problem is likely on their end.

Unfortunately, there's not much we can do to speed this up — we're currently waiting for their response and a resolution.

Hey everyone

As the new year is getting closer, I've been reflecting on what 2025 has been like for me, and I wanted to share a small personal status update.

2025 has been a year of developer crisis and struggle. I explored several directions — from BBMOD 4, to further BBMOD 3 updates, to my long-standing dream of a 3D MMORPG in GameMaker — but struggled to maintain motivation across them.

When I first started doing 3D in GameMaker as a teen, I was told by the community that I shouldn't, that it wasn't possible. I kept pushing forward to prove that I could do it — that anything is possible in the right hands with enough dedication.…

Hey everyone, I’ve got a mixed update for you today.

As you know, we’ve had several polls recently where I asked for your input on the future of BBMOD. Based on those results, I created a new GitHub issue for BBMOD 4, updated the website and README, and even started development. Here’s a small preview of what was in the works:

However, a few days ago I decided to take down both the GitHub issue and the announcements. Not because BBMOD 4 is cancelled -- it isn’t -- but because I’m putting it on hold.

For the next major release, I want to deliver the best possible performance along with the most ambitious features. To achieve that, BBMOD 4 will need to use C++ extensions. Right now, GameMaker isn’t in a great place for this…
